Heavy Rainfall and Thunderstorm Forecasts
The DGM has identified several distinct windows of intense precipitation affecting different provinces. In the provinces of Agadir Ida Ou Tanane, Safi, Essaouira, and Taroudant, localized thunderstorms with rainfall amounts between 20 and 30 mm were forecast to occur from 3 PM on Thursday, April 9, 2026, until 3 PM on Friday, April 10, 2026.
Beginning Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10 AM and continuing until 1 AM on Saturday, April 11, 2026, an orange-level alert for heavy thunderstorms and hail was issued.
