Award Announcement at SFORL Congress
The Master Stock Exchange of the French Audiology Society (SFA), supported by Audika, was officially announced at the SFORL congress. The award recognizes outstanding research in the field of otolaryngology and is given to an internal candidate currently in Master 2.
Axelle Coban’s Research Focuses on Tympanic Membrane Regeneration
Axelle Coban’s winning project, conducted within the “Technologies and Gene Therapy for Deafness” laboratory at the Institute of Audition (Inserm, Institut pasteur, University Paris Cité), is supervised by Dr. Saïd Safieddine and Professor Yann Nguyen. Her research, titled “Study of the regeneration of the tympanic membrane by transtympanic injection of biomaterials in the treatment of chronic tympanic perforations,” combines biotechnology and surgical innovation in a translational framework.
Coban will present her research progress at the next SFA congress, scheduled for September 2026 in Montpellier.
SFA-Audika Scholarship Details
The SFA-Audika scholarship, established in 2022 on the initiative of Pr Hung Thai-Van, aims to promote scientific research in audiology.The scholarship provides 24,000 euros to allow the recipient to fully dedicate themselves to their project. Applications are accepted annually from April to June and are evaluated anonymously by a member of the SFA board of directors and an external expert, with the final decision made by the SFA office.
