Mumbai – Shah rukh Khan’s iconic bungalow mannat is under scrutiny. A joint inspection by the Brihanmumbai Municipal corporation (BMC) and the forest department occured Friday. The inspection follows a complaint alleging Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) rule violations during ongoing renovations. The superstar’s property and its role in the city’s coastal zone are now under review.
The forest department confirmed the inspection. “A team did carry out a site inspection as we received a complaint about renovation permissions,” an official said. “A report will be prepared based on the findings and submitted soon.” The BMC clarified its involvement was limited to assisting the forest department.
According to an officer present,Mannat’s staff assured authorities that all necessary documents would be provided. Khan’s manager confirmed compliance with guidelines, stating there are no complaints regarding the ongoing work.
Prior to the inspection,former IPS officer and lawyer Y P Singh raised concerns about the property’s history. Singh claimed the original structure, Villa Vienna, was renamed.
