Her career path - as a travel agent, customer service representative, and flight attendant – wasn’t merely a job, but a means of fulfilling her deep desire to discover the world. Whether exploring new countries or meticulously planning the next journey for others, she found immense joy in the experience. She was most content with a suitcase packed and ready for departure, symbolizing a life open to possibilities.
The Heart of Her Home
Shahla’s home was renowned as a welcoming haven for all. Her doors were always open, music filled the air, and the aroma of flavorful food constantly emanated from the kitchen. She was celebrated for her generous hospitality,ensuring no one ever left her home hungry. While she cherished holidays, she didn’t require a special occasion to host; for Shahla, any day was an opportunity for celebration when shared with loved ones.
A Family’s Foundation
Shahla’s greatest source of joy was her family. Together with her husband, Dan, she raised two children, Jeff delong (married to Phear) and Nicole Helka (married to Blake). They were blessed with five grandchildren: Liam, Daniel, Audrey, Madeline, and Xavier, affectionately known as “Bubbaloo.” She dedicated herself to nurturing her grandchildren with warmth, encouraging their aspirations, and celebrating every milestone in their lives.
Kindness and Compassion
Shahla was a woman of profound kindness, generosity, and compassion. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel valued and consistently prioritized the needs of those around her. Deeply spiritual, strong in her convictions, and inherently selfless, Shahla firmly believed in the transformative power of giving. those who knew her recognized that while she often spoke of her own good fortune, the true blessing was having the privilege of knowing her.
