Earthquake Strikes Buzău County in Vrancea Seismic Zone
A magnitude 3.3 earthquake occurred on Saturday at 18:06 local time in Buzău County, Vrancea seismic zone, according to data from the National Institute for Research and Development of Earth Physics (INCDFP).
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 114.3 kilometers, near the cities of Buzău, Braşov, Sfântu-Gheorghe, Ploiesti, and Focsani. Specifically, the epicenter was located 55 km northwest of Buzău, 57 km east of Braşov, 58 km southeast of Sfântu-Gheorghe, 63 km north of Ploiesti, and 72 km west of Focsani.
This year’s most significant earthquake was recorded on August 11 in Arad County, with a magnitude of 4.7.
