Gogoro Announces Leadership Changes
Taipei, September 13, 2024 – Gogoro, a leading electric scooter company, announced today that its founder, Mr. Lu Xuesen, will step down as chairman and CEO, effective immediately. The board of directors has elected Mr. Zeng Dameng, chairman of Rancheng Investment Holding and chief legal officer of Runtai Group, as Gogoro’s new chairman. Mr. Jiang Xiaowei, former Gogoro Taiwan general manager, will take over as Gogoro’s acting CEO.
A New Era for Gogoro
Mr. Jiang Xiaowei, Acting CEO of Gogoro, stated, “Since its founding in 2011, Gogoro has built an electric scooter ecosystem, including battery swap networks, smart electric scooters, mobile sharing services, and sustainable smart cities. Our founder, Mr. Lu Xuesen, has led the team to achieve great success, laying a solid foundation for Gogoro’s innovative thinking, foresight, and strategy. We will continue to innovate in the electric motorcycle and energy service industry, making Gogoro the most representative brand in Taiwan.”
New Leadership
Mr. Zeng Dameng, Gogoro’s new chairman, brings extensive experience to the role. He joined Runtai Group in 1992 and holds a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of London, UK. Mr. Jiang Xiaowei, Gogoro’s new acting CEO, previously served as Gogoro Taiwan’s General Manager, leading the company’s business strategy formulation, operations, and business development in the Taiwan market.
