Hiroyuki Takei, the original creator, wrote Shaman King: The Super Star, which follows the stories from Shaman King: Flowers, itself a sequel to the original series. The Storyline
The original Shaman King manga, published from 1998 to 2004, spans 32 volumes. It tells the story of Yoh Asakura, a shaman aiming to channel the Great Spirit and become the Shaman King. His fiancée, Anna Kyoyama, joins him. A spin-off series, Funbari Poem, was serialized from 2003 to 2004.
