The momentum carried into the second half, with O’Brien once again spearheading Kilmallock’s charge, adding another 0-3 to his tally. Oisín O’Reilly and Phelim O’Reilly also chipped in with vital points, extending their lead. Even as Diarmaid Byrnes and Aaron Gillane fought valiantly for Patrickswell, Kilmallock maintained a comfortable 0-20 to 0-12 advantage by the 40-minute mark.
