Shanghai Unites: 2024 National Cyber Security Awareness Week Kicks Off ‘Campus Day’ to Safeguard the Future of Education
Creating a Clear Campus Network Environment: 2024 National Cyber Security Publicity Week Shanghai “Campus Day” Launched
In a unique and engaging way, students at Shanghai No. 8 Middle School participated in interactive internet security games, such as “Bowling Attack War” and “Roly-poly Defense Tower,” to learn about internet security knowledge.
The ”Campus Day” event, part of the 2024 National Cyber Security Publicity Week, was launched with the theme “Network Youth Power.” This event showcased the achievements of Shanghai’s education system’s network culture work through a series of themed activities, aiming to improve teachers’ and students’ network literacy, network security awareness, and protection skills.
A group of individuals, from professionals to students, were recognized for their contributions to promoting cybersecurity knowledge. The “Shanghai University Cybersecurity Public Welfare Promotion Ambassador” and “Shanghai University Cybersecurity Public Welfare Lecturer” were awarded letters of appointment, acknowledging their efforts in spreading cybersecurity awareness.
The “Shanghai University Cybersecurity Public Welfare Lecturer” will conduct lectures in colleges and universities, focusing on topics such as “Maintenance and Practice of the Overall National Security Concept” and “Risks and Responses to Cybersecurity.” Meanwhile, the university cybersecurity public welfare promotion ambassadors will continue to engage in volunteer service activities, including popular science lectures on digital literacy and skills improvement.
Shanghai No. 8 Middle School was awarded the title of “Cybersecurity Promotion Demonstration Point,” setting a new model for campus cybersecurity promotion.
The “Campus Day” activities have consistently promoted the concept of cybersecurity, popularized cybersecurity knowledge, and improved cybersecurity skills among teachers and students. This year’s event included a cybersecurity garden party and a college student cybersecurity-themed science popularization comic exhibition, providing an engaging and interactive experience for participants.
The cybersecurity garden party featured performances and interactive experiences, using role-playing, scenario interpretation, and fun games to promote cybersecurity knowledge and encourage joint participation in cybersecurity publicity and education.
