Sharjah Announces Eid Al Adha Transport Plan for Enhanced Travel

The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has revealed its comprehensive transport plan for the Eid Al Adha holiday in 2025. Aiming to provide safe and convenient travel, the plan addresses the expected surge in demand during the festive period.
During the Eid Al Adha holiday from June 5–8, SRTA will deploy 180 buses across Sharjah, operating over 5,600 trips. The increased bus frequency will see buses running every five minutes during peak hours, a significant reduction from the usual 45-minute intervals.
Yousef Khamis Al Othmani, head of the SRTA, emphasized the importance of preparedness during holidays to ensure smooth Sharjah Eid Al Adha transport operations.
Within sharjah City, 104 buses will serve 12 routes, completing 1,144 daily trips and covering 543 stops. jubail Bus station will remain open from early morning until late evening, with additional staff deployed to manage the increased passenger flow.
Engineer Yousef Khamis Al Othmani, the head of the SRTA, highlighted the importance of being well-prepared during holidays.
