Sharjah ⁢is now offering an Instant Licence to entrepreneurs and investors, allowing them to obtain a commercial licence in just one day. The Sharjah Executive Council⁣ approved the initiative, designed to boost economic diversification and improve the ease of doing business in the emirate.

Notably, the instant Licence waives the need for a Memorandum of association or signed lease contract during the first year. This streamlined approach aims to stimulate growth across key sectors⁢ by reducing procedural delays for new market entrants.

The licence applies to office-based activities that do not require ‌approvals from other government entities. Each licence permits a maximum of three employees.

Hamad Ali⁤ Abdalla Al Mahmoud, chairman of the Sharjah Economic⁢ Development department⁢ (SEDD), said the department is‍ continuously working to develop a legislative and regulatory habitat. The goal, he said,⁢ is to enhance business growth and support its continuity and⁢ sustainability, aligning with international best practices.

The SEDD⁤ reports that the Instant Licence especially benefits startups and⁤ businesses looking to expand into new economic activities.⁤ It simplifies establishing a presence in Sharjah without complex upfront legal and administrative hurdles. After the first year, companies must meet standard licensing obligations.

What’s next

The Instant Licence⁢ is part ‍of SEDD’s broader strategy to position Sharjah as a global investment destination. ⁢By offering‍ high-quality⁢ services and regulatory frameworks benchmarked internationally, Sharjah ‍aims to encourage innovation, entrepreneurship, and long-term sustainability, further enhancing its appeal for ‍business investment.
