Sharon Chuter, the founder of the inclusive makeup brand Uoma Beauty, passed away on August 14, 2024. She was 38 years old.
According to the Los Angeles medical Examiner’s office, the cause of death is currently listed as deferred, meaning it is indeed still under inquiry. The news was first reported by The Business of Beauty.

Chuter founded Uoma Beauty in 2019, quickly establishing the brand as a champion of inclusivity and portrayal in the beauty industry. The line launched at Ulta with over 100 products, notably featuring a foundation range encompassing 51 shades.This extensive shade range was a purposeful statement emphasizing the importance of diversity.
