Actor and solo singer Takuya Kimura is set to embark on a live tour called “TAKUYA KIMURA Live Tour 2024 SEE YOU THERE” starting from September 2024.
This marks Kimura’s third solo tour in two years, with eight shows scheduled at five locations nationwide, including Asue Arena in Osaka, Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Port Messe Nagoya 1st Exhibition Hall in Aichi, and Sekisui in Miyagi.
The last live tour in 2022 was held during the coronavirus pandemic, which limited audience participation. However, this time around, Kimura expressed his excitement, saying, “We finally managed to prepare a place where you can make noise.”
Tickets Still Available for Upcoming Shows
Contrary to expectations, tickets for Kimura’s live shows are still available for purchase. A check on the website “Ticket Pia” on September 17 revealed that tickets for the Yokohama show will go on sale from October 13 to 14. While the arena show has sold out, tickets for other shows in four cities remain unsold.
This development has sparked surprise among fans, given the high demand for tickets during Kimura’s time with the national group SMAP. Even during his 2022 live tour, many fans expressed disappointment at not being selected for tickets.
Fans Share Their Experiences
Some fans have taken to social media to share their experiences of purchasing tickets for Kimura’s live shows. One fan wrote, ”I casually looked at Pia and found that Kimura-kun live tickets were still on sale to the public today.” Another fan shared, “I got Takuya’s Osaka Live at Pia. It’s my first time getting a live ticket.”
These accounts suggest that the demand for Kimura’s live tickets may not be as high as expected, despite his popularity as an actor and former member of SMAP.
Kimura’s Music Career
While Kimura has enjoyed success as an actor, his music career has not been as prominent. His third solo album, “SEE YOU THERE,” was released on August 14, but it did not quite live up to expectations. The album’s production team included notable figures such as Takuro Yoshida, Mariya Takeuchi, and Tsuyoshi Domoto of KinKi Kids.
Kimura’s decision to promote his album through a live Instagram broadcast suggests that he may be exploring new ways to connect with his fans and boost his music career.
