Understanding Phase Sleep Disorder: A Personal Struggle

I don’t have insomnia, but I have phase sleep disorder. This condition makes it impossible for me to fall asleep before 5 AM. Throughout my 20s, including my time in the military and working at Coupang, I rarely fell asleep before 2 AM.
Many people believe that physical labor and exhaustion lead to easy sleep, but I found this not to be true. Even after working long hours at Coupang during the summer, I could only manage to sleep for two hours at a time, waking up at 6 AM. My experience with sleep disorders has been incredibly frustrating.
Phase sleep disorder is a condition that affects my daily life, making it challenging to maintain a regular sleep schedule. I hope that by sharing my experience, I can raise awareness about this condition and help others who may be struggling with similar issues.
