President-Elect⁤ Claudia Sheinbaum Announces New Appointments ⁣to Decentralized Agencies

Mexico​ City, August 11 – President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum has announced 11 new appointments to her extended cabinet, including⁣ notable figures such‍ as Octavio Romero Oropeza, who will now lead the National Workers’ Housing Fund Foundation (Infonavit).

New Appointments​ to Decentralized Agencies

  • Rocío Bárcena Molina – Under Secretary for Democratic Development, ​Social Participation and Religious⁤ Affairs Ministry of the Interior
  • Mariana Tamborrell Boy ⁣ – Head of the Federal Attorney ⁤for ‌Environmental⁣ Protection (Profepa)
  • Violeta Abreu González – General Directorate of the Mexican Postal Service (Sepomex)
  • Renata Turrent Hegewisch – Director General of Canal Once
  • Rocío Mejía Flores – Director‍ General‌ of Financiera para el Bienestar (Finabien)
  • Lyndia Quiroz Zavala – Director General of the National Fund for the Promotion of Tourism (Fonatur)
  • Octavio Romero Oropeza – Director General of the National ​Workers’ Housing Fund Foundation (Infonavit)

About the ⁤Appointees

Rocío Bárcena Molina

Rocío Bárcena Molina has a ‌degree‍ in Pre-School Education and has Masters degrees in Philosophy and ‍Pedagogy. She currently‌ serves as the head of ​the Mexican Postal Service, a position she‍ has held since January 2021.

Mariana Tamborrell Boy has a degree in Law and has ‌studies in Public Administration from the University of Anáhuac. In addition, she holds a diploma in Mexican Environmental Law from the same institution.

Violeta ⁢Abreu González has graduated from the Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences‌ and the Master’s degree ⁢in Public Policy and Management from the University of ⁢Xalapa. Abreu ​González served between January 2021 and September 2023 as Director⁤ of Strategic Management and Institutional Liaison at the National Development Fund for ⁣Tourism (Fonatur).

Renata Turrent Hegewisch

Renata Turrent Hegewisch is a political analyst and communications specialist. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of California,‌ Los Angeles (UCLA) and a degree in Economics from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Advanced Studies.
