At 18:30 on August 24, the 2024 Shenyang first “Street BA” community basketball league officially kicked off in Tiexi District.
In the “Hongmei MAKE ONE Basketball Park” located in Vanke Hongmei Cultural and Creative Park, 32 teams selected from streets, communities and parks across the city are gearing up for the competition. A two-month, nearly 60-game fierce competition will be launched. This competition is sponsored by Haizhiyan, setting off a national fitness craze of “basketball”.
This August is destined to be exciting, and Shenyang’s “Street BA” is setting off basketball craze again in Tiexi. This community basketball league aims at universal participation. The participating athletes are all citizens who live in Shenyang and love basketball. At the opening ceremony, along with the dynamic basketball-themed light show, the official cheerleading team of Liaoning Basketball Team presented a youthful and energetic dance performance, lighting up the summer night stage.

That night, Han Dejun, the captain of Liaoning men’s basketball team, appeared at the opening ceremony and kicked off the opening game, which was a surprise to the fans. As the basketball flew from Han Dejun’s hand to the sky above the court, the “street BA” started the first game.

This year’s “Street BA” community basketball league uses “Hongmei MAKE ONE Basketball Park” as the only main venue. During the group stage, three games will be held at 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm every Monday to Friday.
Four games will be held every Saturday and Sunday from 5 to 8 pm. Citizens can go directly to the scene to draw free tickets.
