The project explores the origins of the 3 Worlds/3 Moons Universe, tracing a cosmic struggle between a thriving era of magic and the looming awakening of a mechanical doomsday device known as the God Machine.
Journey to Akva and the Threat of the God Machine
Set generations before the current science cycle during a period when Kaoso thrives and magic reaches its peak, the story follows a young protagonist named Syg the White Hart. Eschewing the wishes of his family and the Academy, Syg hitches a ride on a Vojoganto to the center of the universe—a destination called Akva. He makes the journey alongside his lifelong friend, an accused heretic named Markus, to investigate and prevent a predicted universal collapse. Opposing their mission are forces determined to bring about inevitable change by reawakenining the God Machine of Ordo. According to Dark Horse’s preview materials, Ordo appears as an old moon dominated by a broken, vegetation-choked Institute. Deep inside its Vault, an aged scientist tends a glowing yellow specimen identified as Khor, feeding the entity in hopes of restoring the world while cycle after cycle continues.
