Shiloh Featured as Backup Dancer in What’s A Girl To Do Music Video

Shiloh Jolie, the 19-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has made her on-screen dancing debut in the music video for What’s a girl to do? by K-pop artist Dayoung.

The full music video and single were released on April 7, 2026. Jolie appears as one of nearly a dozen backup dancers surrounding Dayoung throughout the production.

Casting and Audition Process

The casting process for the music video was conducted through an open audition in the United States. According to a statement from Starship Entertainment, the management company for Dayoung and her girl group WJSN (Cosmic Girls), Jolie was selected in the final round based on her skills.

Starship Entertainment informed the Maeil Business Newspaper that the production team was not aware of Jolie’s parentage until recently. A source told Entertainment Tonight that Jolie’s identity remained unknown to those on set, including her dance crew, Culture, until after filming had concluded.

The same source noted that Jolie is not seeking fame or special attention, despite her family background.

Professional Credits and Identity

In the credits for the music video, Jolie is listed under the name Shi alongside her fellow dancers. This follows a pattern of maintaining a discreet professional profile; in 2025, she was credited as Shi Jolie in a press release for a dance number she choreographed for a dinner party launching Isabel Marant’s Net-A-Porter capsule collection.

Jolie has also legally changed her name, dropping her father’s surname upon turning 18 in 2024.

Context and Background

The appearance comes as Jolie continues to develop her choreography and dance resume. The project marks a collaboration with Dayoung, whose previous solo work includes the 2025 English-language pop dance track Body.
