Shinhan Financial Group Donates 2 Billion Dong to Support Typhoon Recovery in Vietnam

Shinhan Financial Group announced on the 12th that it is donating 2 billion dong (approximately 110 million won) to support rapid⁤ recovery in Vietnam, which suffered heavy damage from a recent‍ typhoon.

Typhoon Yagi caused widespread landslides and floods in northern Vietnam, ​resulting in over 300 people dead or missing and extensive damage to ​homes and large facilities.

Shinhan Financial Group is rapidly carrying​ out ​support activities focused on areas most affected by the⁢ typhoon, such as Haiphong.​ Group companies operating in ⁢Vietnam, including banks, cards, securities, life‍ insurance, and DS, are urgently raising financial resources to support the relief efforts.

An official from Shinhan Financial Group expressed deep sympathy for the victims ‌of the typhoon, stating, ​”We will ⁢spare no effort to provide various support to help ‍the victims in the​ affected areas overcome the disaster and return to their daily lives safely.”
