Ronaldo announced this achievement on his Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) ‌accounts on September 13th, ​showcasing the combined total of his followers across Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and Chinese social media platforms‌ Weibo and Kuaishou.

According to⁢ the BBC, Ronaldo is the first person to reach this impressive milestone, solidifying his⁣ position as‍ a social media giant.

With an impressive record ‌of over 900 goals for his club ⁢and ⁢national team, Ronaldo is a household name in the world ⁤of football. His massive following on social media is ⁤a testament to his enduring popularity.

Ronaldo’s social media presence is staggering, with over 639 million followers on Instagram, 170 million on Facebook, and 113 million on X. The recent launch ⁣of ⁣his YouTube channel,‌ ‘UR Cristiano’, has been a significant factor in surpassing the 1 billion follower mark.

Launched on August 21st, Ronaldo’s YouTube channel gained over 10 million subscribers in less than 12 hours and currently boasts over 61 ⁤million ‍subscribers.

Ronaldo’s unparalleled popularity on social media is unmatched not only in the world of football but also among celebrities across all fields.

Actress and singer Selena Gomez follows with 690 million​ people, while Lionel Messi, Ronaldo’s​ long-time rival on the pitch, has around⁢ 623 million followers. ‍Pop stars Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift trail behind with 607 ‌million and 574 million followers, respectively.

The BBC notes that Ronaldo has yet to join TikTok or Threads, leaving room⁢ for further growth in his social media presence.
