Japanese Actress Haruna Kojima Attacked by Taiwanese Man in Shibuya

Japanese actress Haruna Kojima was attacked by a 40-year-old Taiwanese man at an intersection outside Shibuya‍ Station after attending a photo ​album event at a​ shop in Shibuya, Tokyo on Monday ⁤evening.

36-year-old Kojima Haruna recently launched a‌ new photo album and ​held‍ an⁣ event at Tsutaya in Shibuya ​to‌ meet fans. After the show ended around 9 p.m., Kojima was grabbed ⁤by a foreigner and thrown down as⁤ he left ⁤the store, Japanese media reports said. Employees of⁣ Kojima Haruna’s management ⁢company immediately ‍caught the man​ and called⁢ the police for help.

The​ Foreigner’s Motive

The Japanese ⁣Metropolitan Police said⁢ the foreign man in his 40s involved in the case said during ⁢the investigation that he only ​wanted to hug Harina Kojima and had no intention of attacking. Police said​ the man may have been​ lying in wait in Shibuya for some time to carry out the attack and are investigating the motive ‍for the crime.

Fuji News Network reported that‌ the suspect is​ a 42-year-old international student at a Taiwanese language⁢ school.
