Incident Details
According to Haruna Kojima’s management company, the incident occurred after she attended an event in Shibuya, Tokyo on October 28th. A 40-year-old foreign man grabbed and pushed her down as she left the venue.
The company’s official website stated that Kojima was walking out of the venue with guards and staff when the man suddenly stepped out of the shadows and bumped into her. The guards immediately escorted the man and contacted the police.
Although Kojima was not injured, the memorial event for the release of her photo album was cancelled due to safety considerations.
Reports indicate that the man was arrested as an active criminal and is said to be an international student from Taiwan studying at a language school in Japan.
