Lawyer ‌Arrested for ‌Neglecting Client and Forging Court Decision Copy

A 34-year-old lawyer belonging to ⁢the Fukuoka Bar Association was arrested by the ⁤Fukuoka District Public Prosecutors Office on September 4 for allegedly ‍forging a copy⁣ of a court decision and​ sending it to a client by email.

The suspect arrested on suspicion of forgery and use ​of a seal-bearing official document is lawyer ​Takeuchi Yuki (34), who ⁣lives in Yahata Higashi Ward, Kitakyushu City. According⁤ to the Fukuoka District Public⁣ Prosecutors Office, Takeuchi is suspected of using a⁢ computer at⁣ his⁤ office in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, to forge⁤ copies ‍of ​court decisions in ​the⁢ name ​of a⁢ judge at ⁤the ‍Kokura branch⁣ of the Fukuoka‌ District Court ⁣in‌ May last year.

Takeuchi had previously ​received a request through an introducer to ⁢”file​ a registration⁣ procedure request,”⁣ but⁤ had neglected to do so, ⁣instead falsely⁤ reporting to the introducer ‌that “I filed a lawsuit for a registration procedure request and‍ received a⁤ judgment.” It is believed that he forged a ​copy of ​the court decision and sent it by email to ⁤the​ introducer⁤ to avoid⁣ being discovered.

Lawyer Takeuchi Yuki’s registration ⁢number is 55781, and he was employed at Very Best Law Office in April 2022, according to⁢ the JFBA Lawyer Search. ⁣The investigation is⁣ ongoing, and it is difficult to say anything‌ for sure until the results are revealed.

However, if ⁤the crime was committed while he was⁤ employed at ⁢Very ⁣Best Law⁢ Office, then he was​ fired from the company. It is expected that the president of the company⁢ will take supervisory responsibility⁢ and make a statement about the incident on ‌their website.
