Driver Arrested for Failing to Yield to Ambulance
An investigation was launched after images surfaced on social media showing a car failing to yield to a private hospital ambulance on October 28 at 03:08 on the D-400 highway in Tasagil District.
According to the investigation by the Manavgat District Gendarmerie Command teams, the car driven by O.Ç., traveling from Serik to Manavgat, deliberately failed to yield to the ambulance traveling in the same direction and slowed down.
The driver of the vehicle was apprehended and taken into custody. Following procedures at the gendarmerie, the suspect was sent to court and arrested by a criminal justice of the peace.
In addition to the arrest, the driver was also issued an administrative fine for “endangering traffic safety.”
