Female Director of Hunan Provincial Finance Department Dies Under Mysterious⁤ Circumstances

Liu Wenjie, the female director of the Hunan Provincial Finance Department, fell⁤ to her death from a residential building in the ⁤courtyard of​ the Hunan Provincial Finance Department on the morning of ‍September 19. Two other people also ‍fell from the building and died on the⁤ spot.

An insider at the Hunan Provincial Financial ⁤System confirmed⁣ that Liu Wenjie died unexpectedly on⁢ September 19.⁤ The incident has sparked widespread ​speculation, with many details emerging online.

Allegations of a Guarantee and Borrowed Funds

Chu⁣ Chaoxin, a well-known mainland journalist, reported that two readers provided⁢ information that ‌Liu ‍Wenjie had provided a guarantee to borrow ⁣60​ million RMB‌ from Jiang Yu, who allegedly killed her. The Hunan authorities have been urged to investigate the funding behind the director’s death.

Circumstances Surrounding the Incident

According to rumors, two men named Jiang from Hunan, aged 31 and 35, entered the Hunan Provincial Department of Finance dormitory building and entered Liu Wenjie’s home disguised as security guards and staff. Liu Wenjie was then controlled,‌ and ‌the room door was locked.

The amount was⁣ borrowed‍ in October 2020, with interest payments of 9 million RMB received in November 2021 and December 2022. However, the ⁢interest payments ceased after that, despite​ repeated agreements to pay interest and return part of ‍the principal before July ⁣1, 2024. Liu Wenjie allegedly failed to fulfill her contractual obligations.

The Fatal Confrontation

The three individuals fought indoors, resulting in Liu Wenjie being restrained and ⁣tied. As Liu Wenjie had made⁣ several phone calls before being controlled, the relevant personnel were called by the Criminal Investigation Branch of the ​Changsha Public Security ​Bureau.

Liu‌ Wenjie allegedly fell ⁣to her death while being tied and placed on a window‌ sill. The⁣ two men later attempted to escape from the‌ balcony ⁢using curtains,‌ sheets, quilt covers, etc., ​but accidentally fell⁤ down the building and died.

Liu Wenjie’s⁤ Background

According to the Hunan Provincial Bureau ⁢of Statistics website, Liu Wenjie was ​born in 1966‍ in Lianyuan, Hunan. She began working in 1990 and joined the Communist Party⁢ of China in 1985. Liu Wenjie held various positions,⁣ including assistant researcher and deputy director of the Administrative and Legal Affairs ​Department of the Hunan Provincial Finance Department, director of the agency’s party‍ committee office, chairman ⁢of ​the trade union of the agency, director of the Department of Personnel and⁣ Education, ⁤member of the Party Leadership Group, and deputy director of‌ the Provincial Finance Department.
