Qatari Football Player Ahmed Yasser‍ Al-Mohammadi’s Trial Adjourned

The Cairo‌ Criminal Court has reserved the sentencing of Ahmed Yasser ⁢Al-Mohammadi,‍ a football player of the ‌Qatari ​club Al-Rayyan, for allegedly assaulting a girl in‌ the State⁢ of Qatar ​until the ​second round of October.

The session was held under‍ the⁢ chairmanship of Counselor Wael Zahran and the membership​ of Councilors Mahmood ​Rashdan and⁣ Abdullah Salam.

During his plea to the⁣ court,⁤ the accused’s⁤ defense requested that the plea be conducted inside⁤ the courtroom due to the circumstances of the case, so that the court judge​ could respond to the defendant’s request.

The judge​ asked the accused: “I want the session to be held inside the discussion room,” to⁣ which the accused player replied: ⁣”I hope so,⁤ sorry” and then the⁤ session​ was adjourned to consider the⁢ case inside the discussion room.

The ⁤accused player’s defense asked the court to prevent journalists from ‍filming, so the court responded and demanded that the journalists leave the courtroom.

Ahmed Yasir Al-Mohammadi, a soccer ⁢player with ‍the Qatari club Al-Rayyan, arrived at the headquarters of the Cairo‌ Criminal Court amid tight⁢ security, where he appeared ​wearing a black uniform and a mask over his⁢ face.

The Public ⁢Prosecution‍ earlier decided to criminally prosecute Qatari soccer player⁣ Ahmed Yasser‌ Al-Mohammadi for allegedly assaulting a girl.

The investigation​ revealed that the player was accused in a case of assaulting a girl in the State of⁢ Qatar, and ​after submitting a report from the girl,⁣ he was investigated by the investigating authorities, who released him pending his ⁣medical examination,⁣ and‌ his⁢ statement ​and against him. ‌Whether or ‌not the validity of​ the allegations made was determined.

The investigation indicated ⁢that the accused returned to Egypt as soon as the decision was issued, so the investigating ​authorities arrested him from Sharm el-Sheikh to complete the investigation, and the report was issued to the Abden police station.

The player said during the investigation that he had‌ a relationship with⁣ the girl he made the report​ to and that he did not assault her, but contrary to the girl’s statement,⁤ the matter was done with her consent and‍ after an ​agreement with her.
