Shoreline Mafia Reflects on Reunion, New Music, and Coachella Performance
Shoreline Mafia, the influential West Coast rap duo, is experiencing a resurgence following a period of solo work, marked by a new album, streaming success, and a highly anticipated performance at Coachella in 2023-their first show together in over five years.
Fenix Flexin, 30, and Ohgeesy, 32, discussed their recent activities and future plans in an interview with XXL‘s Talk It Up series, powered by DistroKid. The group’s continued success is notable within a rap landscape that features few remaining active groups.
In 2020, Shoreline Mafia released Mafia Bidness during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The album spawned popular tracks like “Bands” and “Perc popper.” Following the album’s release, both Fenix and Ohgeesy focused on individual projects. Fenix released Fenix Flexin Vol.1,Fenix Flexin Vol. 2, and Fenix Flexin Vol.3, while Ohgeesy continued to build his solo career.
The duo also highlighted a recent collaboration with Coi Leray and hinted at further new music planned for release this year.
