Following her departure from WWE after six years, Ashley Urbanski, known as Shotzi Blackheart, is considering her next move in professional wrestling. shotzi Blackheart recently discussed potential destinations, expressing interest in joining All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Total Nonstop Action (TNA) wrestling.
Shotzi Blackheart appeared on “The Ariel Helwani Show” and highlighted AEW’s appeal, citing the creative freedom afforded to its wrestlers and the positive environment fostered by AEW co-owner Tony Khan. She emphasized Khan’s care for his talent as a meaningful factor.
AEW has recently gained attention for showcasing diverse storylines, including the match at Double or Nothing where Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa shared a kiss. Storm is set to defend her AEW Women’s Championship against Mercedes Moné at All In next month.
“For so many reasons, I love their freedom. I have a lot of friends there who are doing really awesome things.I’ve heard many stories of how (AEW co-owner) Tony (Khan) treats talent. I do love that he really cares for his talent – that is super critically important to me. And like, hot girls get to make out with each other, so, like, that’s cool.”
While open to a WWE return,Shotzi Blackheart emphasized her desire for consistent work. She initially tried out for WWE through “Tough Enough” in 2015 before joining NXT in 2019 and eventually moving to the main roster. during her time in NXT, she held the women’s tag-team title with Ember Moon.
“I mean,I would love to be back at WWE. I loved working there. I didn’t love not working there. It was only when I wasn’t being used that I was unhappy, but anytime I was being used, good time – love the locker room, loved everyone I was working for.That’s just it. I just don’t want to go back and not work.”
