Shudder to Think Release New Music After 17-Year Hiatus
Following their reunion tour-their first in 17 years-Shudder to Think has released new music for the first time since the late 1990s. The band is currently touring, with shows concluding November 11th in Los Angeles.
The new release is a seven-inch vinyl single featuring the songs “Thirst Walk” and “Playback.” It is being sold at the band’s concerts and is available for pre-order through Dischord Records,their longtime label partner,with a release date of November 7th,2025. Background on Shudder to Think
Shudder to think formed in Washington, D.C. in 1988, becoming a prominent act in the post-hardcore scene. Known for their dynamic live performances and emotionally charged lyrics, the band released several critically acclaimed albums throughout the 1990s, including Pony Express Record (1992) and Pulsing Apparition (1994).
the band initially disbanded in 1997, but members pursued other musical projects. Vocalist craig Wedren released solo albums and contributed to film soundtracks,while guitarist Nathan Larson became a composer for film and television.
