The women’s doubles pair of Kim Hye-jeong (Samsung Life Insurance) and Jeong Na-eun (Hwasun County Office) advanced to the semifinals of the China Open Badminton Championships.
The pair of Kim Hye-jeong and Jeong Na-eun won the women’s doubles quarterfinals of the 2024 China Open Badminton Championships (World Tour Super 1000) held at the Changzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium in China on the 20th.
The 11th-ranked pair of Kim Hye-jeong and Jeong Na-eun defeated the 110th-ranked pair of Teng Chun-sun and Yang Chu-yeon (Taiwan) 2-0 in the quarterfinals. It was their second consecutive win following their victory at the Hong Kong Open.
In Game 1, the Kim Hye-jeong-Jung Na-eun pair took a big lead early on with consecutive points, widening the gap to 14:6. After that, they lost consecutive points to 16:13 and 18:16, but the Kim Hye-jeong-Jung Na-eun pair held on to a 2- and 3-point lead and won 21:18.
