Siege of Dhaka Looms: Sanatan Religious Group Issues Ultimatum Over Unmet Demands

“If the eight-point demand is not met, the traditionalists of Bangladesh will all besiege Dhaka. So we warn in advance. Accept our demand. Withdrawal of the case against our Lord Rana Dasgupta and Chinmoy.’

Leaders of different organizations said this in the rally organized under the banner of mass meeting and march to implement Sanatani’s 8-point demands organized on Saturday (November 2) at Pubali Chattar in Kandirpar, Comilla. Leaders and activists of various upazilas of Comilla city and surrounding areas participated under the banner of different organizations in this mass gathering and procession.

At that time, the speakers said, “We have been oppressed since 1947. Government comes, government goes. The previous government has fallen. We thought we would have peace. But where did I get it? Our brothers were attacked. Our mothers and sisters were attacked. But our participation in this revolution is no less. So we have to stop harassing. Otherwise strict programs will be published across the country.’
