Communication equipment explosions occurred in Lebanon on two consecutive days, resulting in at least 32 deaths and more than 3,500 injuries. It is believed that the number of casualties will continue to increase. Lebanon blamed the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad and a joint operation with the Israeli army. It vowed to retaliate. The situation in the Middle East has heated up again. In addition to the Palestinian armed organization Hamas, Israel has now added Lebanon’s Allah to its targets. party.

Hiding high explosives in communication equipment and detonating them through remote control to assassinate target persons is often seen in movies, but now it actually happens in reality, and thousands of people are killed and injured. Among them are not human beings and not God at all. Party, this kind of behavior involves civilians and is simply a terrorist attack. Why does Hezbollah use pagers? Because they are worried that using smartphones will easily lead to surveillance, they have already deployed devices such as pagers, making it difficult for Israel to monitor, but creating loopholes in the supply chain.

Israeli intelligence services use assassination tactics?

This series of walkie-talkie bombings killed at least 20 people and injured more than 450 people. In a collective bombing of pagers used by Hezbollah members the day before, 12 people were killed and nearly 3,000 injured, 200 of whom were in critical condition. Lebanese security sources pointed out that Hezbollah purchased a batch of walkie-talkies five months ago. According to reports from Western media, Mossad, the notorious Israeli intelligence agency, had worked with the Israeli military to rig the walkie-talkies and set up remote-controlled explosive devices before they were delivered to Hezbollah.

According to a Reuters report, the walkie-talkie that exploded was stated to be manufactured in Japan and bore the name of the Japanese wireless communications company ICOM. However, ICOM responded that these models of walkie-talkies were gradually discontinued 10 years ago, and the sales staff of ICOM’s U.S. subsidiary said they believed the walkie-talkies involved were counterfeit products.

As for the 5,000 pagers that exploded the previous day, the Lebanese authorities claimed that they ordered them from a factory in Taiwan in February this year. However, the Taiwan Golden Apollo Company, which produces the same model of pagers, pointed out that they had not exported pagers to Lebanon. , believed to be from a consulting company called BAC located in Hungary, which has a trademark license and has set up a factory in Lebanon for design and production. And this consulting company called BAC was exposed by the media as a shell company.

Both walkie-talkies and pagers are the first generation products of radio communication. Taking pagers as an example, the main station can issue communication instructions to all 5,000 pagers at once. The operating principle of walkie-talkies is also the same. Hezbollah said that because the use of mobile phones for communication will be monitored and tracked by the Israeli military through satellites, it gradually switched to such products in February this year. However, it has not noticed any abnormalities for several months. It admitted that it was the security guard. A major vulnerability was discovered.

The British “Sky News Arabia” pointed out that these pagers and walkie-talkies had fallen into the hands of Israel before they arrived at Hezbollah in Lebanon. “Mossad successfully intercepted Hezbollah’s communication equipment and installed powerful explosives on the equipment.” Hungarian media reports also pointed out that the pager may contain 10 to 20 grams of explosives, which is as powerful as 12.6 to 25.2 grams of yellow explosives, enough to blow up a human body.

The pager rings 10 seconds before it explodes

Due to its high stability, this type of explosive will hardly decompose and will not explode in environments of 75 degrees Celsius or below. It is very suitable for use in high-temperature climates in the Middle East and is one of the explosives commonly used by terrorist organizations. The Lebanese security department pointed out that before the pager exploded, the communication bell sounded for about ten seconds, and the operator picked it up to check the message. The purpose was to ensure that there were victims after each pager exploded.

Israel did not respond to the incident. Defense Minister Galante announced that Israel was in a new phase of the war against Hezbollah and praised the work of the Israeli army and security agencies, saying that the results were very impressive. In a rare move, he had two phone calls with U.S. Secretary of Defense Austin to update him on the latest situation on the same day that the pagers exploded.

The White House immediately drew a line in the sand, reiterated that Washington was not involved in the incident, and refused to comment on whether Israel was behind the incident. Secretary of State Blinken, who is visiting the Middle East, reiterated that all parties should take measures to de-escalate the conflict. United Nations Secretary-General Guterres urged relevant parties to exercise maximum restraint and avoid further escalation of the situation.

Israel’s offensive against Lebanon targets not only Hezbollah, but also many Lebanese people. It is a typical terrorist attack. However, the United States and the West as a whole have not condemned Israel’s atrocities. It is inevitable that the United States and the West acquiesce in the atrocities committed by the Israeli army. The situation in the Middle East has further deteriorated.
