Detectives have launched an investigation after two men broke into a house in Silverbridge in the early hours of Sunday, November 9, but fled the scene empty-handed when challenged by one of the occupants.
Police said the incident happened at around 2.40am in the New Road area of the village.
it’s understood the suspects entered the property but made off quickly after being confronted. Two men who were inside the home at the time were not physically harmed but were left shaken by the ordeal.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area, or who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage, to get in touch.
