COE Premiums Drop in Singapore
On November 20, Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums fell in all categories except for commercial vehicles. The price for smaller cars (Category A COE) dropped by $10,000 to $89,889. This represents a 10% decrease. It is the third consecutive tender where the price has decreased, marking the largest drop since January, when it fell by $19,990.
The premium for larger cars (Category B COE) decreased by 2.7%, settling at $105,081, down from $108,001.
The Open category (Category E COE) price ended at $107,501, which is 1.4% lower than the previous price of $109,000. These certificates can register any vehicle, except motorcycles, but are usually used for larger cars.
The motorcycle COE (Category D) saw a decline of 4.6%, dropping to $8,669 from $9,089.
In contrast, the commercial vehicle COE (Category C) increased by 1%, reaching $69,000, up from $68,340 two weeks prior.
A COE is necessary for vehicle registration in Singapore.
