Singapore Startup Produces Plant-Based Paper Batteries
Flint to Begin Production of Plant-Based Paper Batteries, Securing Partnerships with Logitech, Amazon, and nimble
Singapore-based startup Flint is initiating production of paper-based batteries made entirely from plant cellulose. The environmentally friendly battery technology is poised to be supplied to major electronics partners, including Logitech, Amazon, and Apple accessory manufacturer Nimble.
At CES 2026, Flint moved beyond prototype demonstrations, showcasing production-ready AA and AAA batteries powering a toy train at their booth. These batteries are constructed from plant-based materials, eliminating heavy metals like lithium, nickel, and cobalt commonly found in conventional batteries.
The batteries represent a notable step towards lasting power solutions for consumer electronics.
