World No. 1 tennis star Jannik Sinner is exploring a new role: vocalist. The Italian athlete has teamed up with renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli to release “Polvere e Gloria” (Dust and glory).
In this unique collaboration, Sinner delivers spoken-word segments that complement Bocelli’s signature operatic vocals.The song, a blend of English and Italian lyrics, is accompanied by a music video featuring glimpses into Sinner and Bocelli’s childhoods, as well as scenes of the pair performing together.
Sinner described the duet as a deeply moving experience. He expressed his honor in working with Bocelli, acknowledging the tenor’s 30-year legacy as a prominent figure for Italy on the global stage. the tennis star admitted he never imagined his voice would feature in one of Bocelli’s songs.
“I am very happy and honoured to be part of this project with Andrea, who for 30 years has been a unique and unusual voice, a flag for our country in the rest of the world,” Sinner said.”I could never have imagined hearing my voice in one of his songs. It’s extremely moving.”
