The “Minecraft Movie” remains the box office champion, securing the top position on the Official Film Chart for a third consecutive week. Meanwhile, “Sinners,” a new supernatural horror directed by ryan Coogler, made a splash, debuting at No.3.
“Sinners” tells the story of twin World War I veterans Smoke and Stack Moore, played by Michael B. Jordan, who return to Clarksdale, Miss., after working for the Chicago Outfit. They team up wiht their cousin Sammie Moore, portrayed by Miles caton, to open a juke joint using money stolen from Hogwood, a racist landowner played by Dave Maldonado.
though, their plans face potential disruption due to warnings from their pastor father, Jedidiah, played by Saul williams, who believes blues music is supernatural.
In other chart news, “In the lost Lands,” the 2025 action fantasy film directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, re-entered the Top 10 in it’s fourth week. “The Monkey,” a black comedy horror, jumped 16 spots to claim the No. 8 position.
