AUSTIN, Texas – February 23, 2026 – Sirion, a global leader in artificial intelligence-powered Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software, has completed a majority investment from Austin-based Haveli Investments, marking a significant shift in the CLM market and signaling a broader trend towards AI integration in legal operations.

The transaction, initially announced in January, sees Haveli Investments acquire a controlling stake in Sirion, a company that manages millions of enterprise contracts across over 100 languages. The deal effectively removes Sirion’s earlier investors, including Sequoia and Tiger Global, streamlining the company’s board structure and positioning it for accelerated growth, according to Sirion founder and CEO Ajay Agrawal.

“Contracts are becoming executable knowledge, not static documents,” Agrawal stated. “Sirion is building AI that works directly inside enterprise contracting workflows, helping teams draft, negotiate and manage agreements faster and with greater confidence. With Haveli’s partnership, we are accelerating our mission to make contracting intelligent, continuous, and deeply integrated into how enterprises operate.”

The investment comes as enterprises increasingly look to modernize their contracting processes through the adoption of AI. Sirion’s platform focuses on embedding AI directly into existing workflows, rather than simply providing a repository for contracts. This approach, according to Haveli Investments Senior Managing Director Sumit Pande, is crucial for realizing the full potential of AI in the legal space.

“AI in contracting requires more than powerful models—it demands trusted contract data and deeply embedded enterprise workflows,” Pande said. “Sirion is AI-forward and enterprise-grade, extending intelligence beyond signature into obligation management and other critical post-signature workflows. We believe It’s uniquely positioned to define the future of AI-native CLM.”

The deal is not a traditional fundraising round, but rather a strategic recapitalization, Agrawal explained in an interview. Sirion was already profitable and held a substantial amount of capital from previous funding rounds. The primary driver for the transaction was to simplify the board structure and align decision-making at a time of rapid technological advancement in the field of AI. The company had navigated competing interests from investors with varying timelines and priorities, a situation Haveli’s acquisition resolves.

Haveli Investments, founded in 2021 by Brian Sheth, a former co-founder of Vista Equity Partners, is a technology-focused investment firm. The firm’s entry into the CLM market is seen as a significant vote of confidence in the potential of AI to transform legal operations. Haveli intends to provide both capital and operational support to Sirion, accelerating product innovation and global expansion.

The CLM market has seen increasing investor interest, with a focus on AI-driven solutions that can automate tasks, reduce risk, and provide deeper insights into contract data. According to industry analysts, the demand for such tools is being driven by the increasing complexity of contracts and the need for organizations to manage their contractual obligations more effectively. The $1 billion valuation associated with the deal, as reported by LinkedIn sources, underscores the growing financial significance of the AI-powered CLM sector.

William Blair served as exclusive financial advisor to Sirion, while Moelis &amp. Company LLC and Latham & Watkins LLP advised Haveli Investments on the transaction. The completion of the investment is expected to fuel further development of Sirion’s agentic CLM platform, which aims to provide a 360-degree conversational contracting experience.

The implications of this investment extend beyond Sirion and Haveli. It signals a broader trend of private equity firms recognizing the potential of AI to disrupt the legal technology landscape. In-house legal teams and law firms are likely to face increasing pressure to adopt integrated CLM stacks that support AI agents for contract search, review, drafting, and performance management. The move also suggests that contract operations, playbook automation, and clause governance programs will need to adapt to more powerful, AI-native CLM capabilities.

As Sirion moves forward with Haveli’s backing, the company is poised to play a key role in shaping the future of AI-native CLM, potentially driving further consolidation and innovation within the industry. The focus will likely be on expanding the platform’s capabilities, particularly in areas such as AI-powered contract analysis, risk management, and compliance.
