SIUE Wrestling Faces Eureka in Exciting Dual Match at First Community Arena

SIUE Wrestling Meets Eureka in Dual Match

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The SIUE wrestling team will face Eureka in a dual match at 6 p.m. Saturday at First Community Arena. This match is SIUE’s second of the season. They lost their opener against Illinois.

Jake Fernandez is set to make his collegiate debut at 285 pounds. Hayden Shepherd will compete at 165 pounds for his first dual match of the season. Davian Guanajauto, ranked second in the preseason Mid-American Conference rankings, returns to wrestle at 125 pounds. The rest of SIUE’s lineup matches the team that wrestled in the match against Illinois.

This is Eureka’s first dual of the season. The team is coached by former Cougar Eric Biehl.
