KOTA-TV reported that an undercover sting focused on suspected child exploitation during the 2026 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally resulted in the arrest of six men.

The South Dakota Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted the operation from August 7 through August 12, 2026, with investigators posing as minors or traffickers offering children for prostitution through online advertisements and social media, KOTA-TV reported. Five of the arrested individuals are from South Dakota, and Attorney General Marty Jackley stated that two of them may face additional immigration-related charges, according to the attorney general’s office.

Identified Suspects and Charges

According to KOTA-TV, law enforcement agencies booked six men on various charges during the multi-agency sting. The suspects and their respective charges include:

  • Johan Vazquez-Garza, 33, of Rapid City, arrested for solicitation of a minor, as reported by KOTA-TV.
  • Bo Bo Aung, 38, of Box Elder, arrested for first-degree human trafficking, attempted first-degree human trafficking, and attempted fourth-degree rape, according to KOTA-TV.
  • Adrian Tomas Randles, 39, of Rapid City, arrested for solicitation of a minor, per KOTA-TV.
  • Steven Clay Brown, 62, of Sturgis, arrested for solicitation of a minor, according to KOTA-TV.
  • Kevin Orlanda Tassion Brown, 30, of Dillon, South Carolina, arrested for first-degree human trafficking, attempted first-degree human trafficking, and attempted fourth-degree rape, as reported by KOTA-TV.
  • Jay Anderson, 39, of Hot Springs, arrested for solicitation of a minor, per KOTA-TV.

Participating Agencies and Legal Proceedings

The operation involved several local, state, and federal entities, including the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, the Attorney General’s Office, the Rapid City Police Department, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Pennington County State’s Attorney’s Office, according to KOTA-TV.

Attorney General Marty Jackley noted that the operation demonstrates the importance of agencies working together to protect children, KOTA-TV reported. This effort marks the 14th consecutive year that the ICAC Task Force has conducted an operation during the Sturgis Rally, bringing the total number of offenders arrested through the initiative to about 104 since its inception, according to KOTA-TV.

The South Dakota Attorney General’s Office and the Pennington County State’s Attorney’s Office are jointly handling the prosecution of all six men, as noted by KOTA-TV. They are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
