Six Iranian Nationals Executed in Saudi Arabia for Drug Smuggling
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Six Iranian nationals were executed in Saudi arabia’s Eastern Province on charges of smuggling hashish into teh country, according too a statement released by the Saudi Press Agency.
The men, identified as Jassim Muhammad Shabani, Abd al-Rida Younis Tankasiri, Khalil Shahid Samri, Muhammad Jawad Abd al-jalil, Mehdi Kanan Ghanmi, and Hur Muhammad Shabani, were arrested by saudi security forces. Following an investigation, they were charged, tried, and convicted. The statement said their sentences were upheld by the Supreme Court and a royal decree was issued to carry out the executions.The Saudi Ministry of Interior emphasized the kingdom’s commitment to protecting its citizens and residents from the dangers of drugs. The statement highlighted the severe penalties imposed on drug smugglers and dealers, warning of the devastating consequences of drug use on individuals and society.
