Detroit rapper Skilla Baby, whose real name is Trevon Gardner, was wounded in a targeted shooting on Thursday near Detroit. The Skilla Baby shooting is under examination.
Gardner was driving eastbound on 8 Mile Road in North Redford, Mich.,when the incident occurred. Sources told Fox 2 Detroit that he sustained multiple gunshot wounds,including a graze to the head,a hand injury,adn a direct hit to the back. His vehicle crashed into a brick building.
He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover. Video from the scene showed a black Chevrolet Tahoe with deployed airbags and bullet holes, along with numerous shell casings.
The Redford Police Department is investigating the incident as a targeted Skilla Baby shooting. No suspect information has been released.
