Skoda Enyaq Facelift: What to Expect

Skoda Enyaq Facelift: What to Expect

December 17, 2024 Catherine Williams World

Skoda ⁣Enyaq Gets a Dramatic Makeover, Ditching the Customary grille

Czech automaker Skoda is giving its popular electric SUV, the Enyaq, a bold⁢ facelift for⁤ 2024, moving ⁣away from ⁢traditional design cues adn embracing a futuristic look inspired by its smaller sibling, ‍the⁣ Elroq.

The most striking change is the elimination of the large front grille, a feature common in many electric vehicles‍ designed to mimic gasoline-powered cars. Rather, the Enyaq will ⁣adopt ⁣Skoda’s new “Tech-deck Face,” ⁢characterized⁢ by a sleek, black panel housing slim LED daytime running lights. The ⁢headlights, potentially featuring Matrix LED technology, will be positioned lower in the bumper, creating a distinctive four-part front fascia.

This design shift aligns the Enyaq with Skoda’s new “Modern Solid” design language,⁢ wich debuted on‍ the Elroq. Expect more pronounced bumpers ‍and⁢ a ‌sportier overall aesthetic. The⁣ Enyaq‌ will also lose the winged arrow‌ logo from its hood, with the emblem now appearing⁢ only on the wheels. Chrome accents will be replaced with dark chrome finishes, similar to⁤ those ‌found⁤ on the Superb and Kodiaq. A new signature‌ green color, “Olibo,” will also be introduced.

While the rear lights will remain largely unchanged, the Enyaq will continue to⁤ be offered⁢ in both standard and coupe body styles.

skoda has yet to reveal⁤ technical details about the ‍updated Enyaq. However, it’s expected⁢ that the ⁢versions with the 77kWh battery and rear- or‍ all-wheel⁢ drive will remain largely unchanged, mirroring the Elroq’s specifications. the fate of the‍ base Enyaq 50‌ with its 52kWh‌ battery, 375-mile range, and starting price of $42,000 (a $5,000 premium over the ⁢Elroq‍ with the ⁤same powertrain) remains unclear. Currently, the Enyaq is not⁤ available with any other battery size.
