Starlux Airlines Expands Routes and Partners with Breitling for Exclusive Watches

Starlux Airlines Chairman Zhang Guowei announced the expansion of routes for the airline,⁢ including additional flights to Los Angeles and Seattle, as well‌ as new destinations such ‍as New York, Dallas, ‍and Houston.

At ⁢a press conference,​ Zhang Guowei also revealed the ​airline’s partnership with Swiss watchmaker Breitling to launch three joint watches. This collaboration ‌marks the first ⁢time an‌ aviation industry in China has cooperated with a high-end watch brand.

The three joint ‌watches ‍include the Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 STARLUX AIRLINES EDITION, available in 18K red gold and stainless steel models, and the Breitling ‌Emergency II STARLUX⁤ AIRLINES EDITION, a ‍limited ⁣edition emergency watch ⁢made of titanium metal.

Zhang‍ Guowei emphasized⁣ the ⁤airline’s commitment to ‌safety, stating that they will⁣ only‍ use aircraft that meet their safety standards. He also acknowledged the recent engine failure of Cathay​ Pacific’s Airbus A350 and Starlux Airlines’ own malfunction, but ‌attributed these issues to the assembly quality of Boeing⁤ and Airbus.

Regarding personnel training, Zhang Guowei ‌highlighted‍ the need for ongoing ‌training to ensure flight⁢ safety,⁢ particularly with the introduction of new aircraft models.

The ⁣partnership ‌with Breitling is ⁢seen⁣ as a joint cooperation between an old brand and a⁢ young brand, representing tradition‌ and the feeling​ of inheritance. The collaboration is expected to last for three years.
