According to reports, this event is hosted by the International Basketball Federation China Region, and organized by the Beijing Sports Federation Secretariat, Beijing Sports Industry Association, and Beijing Basketball Association. It has four sub-station competitions and one final. The Canal Business District Station is the last chance for each team to compete for a place in the finals.

The two-day competition was held next to the “Three Temples and One Pagoda” in Tongzhou District, which carries the rich history and cultural connotations of the district. Modern sports events are set against ancient cultural relics. After historical changes, the Rending Tower, Tongzhou Confucian Temple, Yousheng Temple and Ziqing Palace have formed the “Three Temples and One Pagoda” along the Grand Canal.

The organizers said that the original intention of choosing this location was to allow the contestants and spectators to appreciate the unique cultural heritage of the canal in addition to the competition. The relevant person in charge said that the Canal Business District will actively introduce water sports events such as kayaking and dragon boat racing, as well as fun activities such as vertical marathons and orienteering in the future.

After the first day of group stage competition, 8 teams stood out and advanced to the knockout stage on the 22nd to finally decide the champion. The top 4 teams in this station won the last 4 tickets to the finals.

With the conclusion of this event, the 2024 FIBA Open 3×3 Beijing 3×3 Open has concluded all four sub-station competitions. According to the schedule, the top four teams in each station, a total of 16 teams, will gather at the Olympic Park from October 5 to 6 to compete for the annual championship. (End)
