The league’s disciplinary commission (LFA) has officially awarded a 3-0 victory to AC Sparta Praha following the abandonment of the Prague derby against SK Slavia Praha. The decision comes after serious disturbances at the Eden stadium led to the match being ended prematurely.
Slavia Prague supporters stormed the pitch and attacked several visiting players, creating a situation where security forces were no longer able to bring the environment under control. At the time the match was abandoned, Slavia had been leading 3-2.
In addition to the retrospective defeat, the LFA has imposed a record fine of 10 million crowns on Slavia Prague. According to reporting from PragueDaily on May 12, 2026, this amount represents the maximum possible punishment allowed under the current regulations.
The club also faces a significant sporting sanction, as it must play its next four home matches behind closed doors without any spectators in attendance.
Sparta Prague was also sanctioned by the disciplinary commission. The club has been ordered to pay 600,000 crowns as a result of misconduct by their own supporters during the match.
Despite the 0-3 loss by default and the accompanying penalties, Slavia Prague remains at the top of the league table. However, the points swing has significantly tightened the title race, reducing Slavia’s lead over Sparta to just five points with three games left to play in the season.
Slavia president Jaroslav Tvrdík stated that the club would not seek to challenge the LFA’s verdict.
We are prepared to accept the punishment with humility. We will not appeal,
Jaroslav Tvrdík
Tvrdík expressed deep disappointment over the events of the derby, specifically referencing the behavior of supporters located in the Tribuna Sever stand.
