A 1-meter-long lizard escaped in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, causing concern among local residents. The lizard was believed to be non-venomous but posed a risk of biting people.
The police and fire department issued a disaster safety message, warning residents to avoid approaching the lizard and to call 911 immediately if spotted. The message was sent to the city around 12:30 pm on September 15th.
Firefighters captured the lizard near the reported location at around 2:51 pm, approximately 3 hours after the initial report. The lizard was handed over to its owner, and no harm was caused during the incident.
A fire department official stated that the lizard was captured 2 hours and 50 minutes after the report was received, and no harm was caused by the lizard.
