A family living in Kamenné Kosihy, a village near Velký Krtíš in southern Slovakia, is experiencing what local funeral services describe as systemic harassment by a man allegedly suffering from a psychiatric illness. According to reporting by tnlive.sk published in July 2026, the perpetrator has repeatedly dispatched funeral vehicles, coffins, and fake classified ad buyers to the family residence even though no death has occurred.
Funeral Services Dispatched to False Deaths
The extent of the harassment became public when staff from Cháron, a Slovak funeral service, drove to Kamenné Kosihy following a call reporting the death of an elderly man. The company stated on Facebook that the caller instructed them to transport the deceased to Banská Štiavnica for a funeral. Upon arrival, employees discovered no one had died and the named person did not live at the address. Cháron stated that the caller has targeted the family with 12 different funeral services from across Slovakia, and in one instance ordered a company to deliver a coffin.
Fake Classified Ads Draw Buyers to the House
In addition to funeral vehicles, the same individual allegedly posts fraudulent online advertisements offering dogs, cats, and farm animals from the family’s address. Unsuspecting buyers travel tens of kilometers to the property, creating tense situations outside the home. Cháron reported the incidents to the local police department and estimated the financial damage from wasted journeys at 300 euros.

Police Records and Current Status
The Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Banská Bystrica confirmed to tnlive.sk that it has registered four official complaints in connection with the incidents. The funeral service stated that local police have claimed inability to take action against the perpetrator due to his medical and health condition. Zuzana Vránová, director of the Sousedský klub community center, addressed the broader issue of neighbor disputes on the TN Live program Do hloubky.
