Slovak Influencer Tatiana Žideková Embraces Postpartum Realities

Influencer, entrepreneur, and athlete Tatiana Žideková is one of the most popular internet personalities in Slovakia. She has been building content on social media for years, amassing a large following. As of today, February 1, 2026, she has over 414,000 followers.

Žideková’s journey began not with a planned career as an influencer, but organically as Instagram grew in popularity. According to an interview with SME Ženy, she gained followers early on when the platform was still developing. Before becoming an influencer, she held various positions, including waitress in a family business, sales assistant, and eventually a manager.

“I was working as a manager in a well-known clothing store while also exercising, and I would take a photo of myself in a different outfit in front of the mirror every day. People on my profile saw inspiration for dressing, and I also posted about how exercise can really help you achieve the figure you desire,” Žideková reportedly said.

In 2019, Forbes magazine included Žideková among the most successful influencers in Slovakia, a recognition driven by collaborations that ultimately led to her own branding. She was given the opportunity to create her own collection by a well-known sports brand and the German online retailer About You, which has also collaborated with global figures like Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, and Chiara Ferragni.

Under Public Scrutiny

Žideková’s presence on social media comes with both advantages and disadvantages. Fans closely observe her every detail. Last year, speculation about a pregnancy arose when she became more reserved with her posts, and followers quickly deduced she was expecting.

“Although we imagined our announcement photoshoot and video a little differently… at a different time, in a different place… everything happened a little sooner than we planned (I’m happy that the video and photos turned out great at the last minute). And you know what? I was a little shaken up at first – angry (we’ll definitely chat about that later), but in the end I’m actually glad. Because now we can share these beautiful moments with you and enjoy them together,” she wrote alongside a photo revealing her pregnancy.

She and her husband announced their pregnancy around the fifth month. They now have a son, Marek.

Navigating Postpartum Changes

While Žideková quickly regained her form after her first pregnancy, her current postpartum experience has been different. She acknowledged that her age—six years older than during her first pregnancy—is a factor. She also admitted that she hadn’t been actively exercising, despite working on the Balance TV project with her friend Martina Tkáčová.

She recently resumed her exercise routine after the six-week postpartum period, announcing it on social media. She openly acknowledged that her body looks different than before, and that regaining her previous shape will require effort. However, she emphasized the importance of self-love. “I’m going to be completely transparent because I know many of you need to see that you’re not alone… and that together we can motivate each other and push forward,” she wrote, expressing gratitude for what her body has accomplished.

“Today I’m not judging, today I’m thanking. Thank you, body, for the strength I didn’t even realize you had. Thank you for being able to bring our greatest happiness into the world. I accept you exactly as you are now. Without shame. Without demeaning. With humility and gratitude. But I also feel it’s time to give back to you. Not with punishment. Not with extremes. Just with patience, movement, and consistency. You can count on me, I have a lot to give back,” she said. Her current weight is 62 kilograms, and she stated that feeling strong and confident—not a number on the scale—is her biggest motivation.
