Rhodes, Bliss Advance in King and Queen of the Ring Qualifiers
SmackDown kicked off with John Cena declaring himself wrestling’s Mount Rushmore, asserting his unmatched status and strategic brilliance. He baited CM Punk to admit he’s a hypocrite if he wants a title shot. Cody Rhodes interrupted, reminding Cena of his Money in the Bank loss and positioning himself as part of Cena’s plan. Randy Orton and LA Knight also emerged, staking their claims to Cena’s title. R-Truth blindsided Cena, leading to a brawl broken up by officials.
Backstage, cena was seen arguing with nick Aldis.
The first King of the Ring qualifying match saw Randy Orton, LA Knight, Carmelo Hayes, and Aleister Black battle it out. After a fast-paced match with multiple near-falls, the bout went to commercial.
Returning from the break, the action continued with Hayes hitting a suicide senton on Black. Knight slammed Hayes’ head into the announce desk, and Orton threw Black into the desk. Hayes executed a frog splash on Knight, but Black broke the pin, leading to another commercial break.
After the commercial, John Cena stormed to the ring, demanding R-Truth appear and face him for crossing a line of disrespect. Rather, CM Punk confronted Cena, accusing him of disrespecting the WWE Universe. Punk offered Cena a chance to step aside and let others celebrate him, but Cena dismissed it, stating his only concern was the World Title.
Punk then insulted Cena, calling him a hypocrite and asserting Cena couldn’t beat him. Punk declared it was his mission to save wrestling and vowed to stalk Cena to beat him. R-Truth then attacked Cena, applying the STFU untill officials intervened.
Backstage, Alexa Bliss was interviewed by Byron Saxton, where she was interrupted by Charlotte Flair, who declared there was only room for one queen in the division.
Nick Aldis reprimanded R-Truth for attacking Cena. Truth demanded a match with Cena next week.
Alexa Bliss Advances in Queen of the Ring Qualifying Match
Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Alba Fyre, and Candice LeRae competed in a Queen of the Ring fatal 4-Way qualifying match. Flair and Bliss initially faced off before Fyre and LeRae attacked. The match saw a series of high-impact moves and near-falls. During the commercial break, LeRae and Fyre double-teamed Flair.
Returning from the break,Bliss powerbombed Fyre and LeRae,who where attempting a superplex on Flair. A flurry of signature moves followed, culminating in Flair applying the Figure Eight on Fyre as Bliss pinned LeRae with Sister Abigail. Bliss advanced in the Queen of the Ring tournament.
Cody Rhodes Victorious in king of the Ring Qualifier
Cody Rhodes, Shinsuke Nakamura, Damian Priest, and Andrade clashed in a King of the Ring qualifying match. The match quickly spilled outside the ring, with Nakamura attacking Rhodes and Priest, and Andrade performing a moonsault onto the competitors. The match went to commercial.
Back from the break, Nakamura choked Rhodes in the corner, but Rhodes countered with a figure-four leg lock, broken by Andrade. Priest hit a broken Arrow on Andrade. Rhodes set up a table outside the ring, attempting to suplex Andrade through it, but Nakamura intervened, sending Rhodes through the table. The match went to another commercial.
Returning to SmackDown, Nakamura attempted a superplex on Andrade, but Priest stopped him. Andrade hit a double moonsault on Priest for a near fall. Rhodes hit Cross Rhodes on Andrade,but Nakamura broke the pin.Rhodes countered Nakamura and hit cross Rhodes for the win, advancing in the King of the Ring tournament.
